The Huisgenoot die Hart van Windhoek festival promises to be even bigger and better this year than last. Shoprite and Checkers will provide at least 40 food stalls with a feast of true Windhoek dishes. Furthermore more than 44 artists, including Romanz, Nianell, Kurt Darren, Theuns Jordaan, Heinz Winkler, Snotkop, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Nicolis Louw, Elvis Blue, Freshlyground, as well as Namibian artists such as Ludik and Pieter Naudé, will provide first-class entertainment throughout the course of the weekend. International singing sensation Westlife will also travel all the way from Ireland to perform in the Wanderersstadion in Windhoek.

Tickets for the festival grounds are available at Computicket in all Shoprite and Checkers stores countrywide, at N$205 for Friday (this includes entry to the Westlife concert) and N$120 for Saturday (this includes entry to the Namibian Champion Boerewors Grand Finale).

N$250 for Friday and N$150 for Saturday.

with the talented boerewors-makers of Namibia, Shoprite and Checkers will this year again search for the country’s best boerewors with the 2011 Namibian Champion Boerewors competition!

The search for Namibia's most talented boerewors maker is almost at it's end. The regional knockout round on Saturday, 6 August 2011 delivered 15 finalists. See their photos here.

That moment of truth is drawing ever closer when these 15 finalists compete on 17 September 2011 for the crown of Namibia's Boerewors Champion at Hart van Windhoek. The winner will drive away in a brand-new Toyota Aygo Fresh
worth N$120 000.
